Women's Missionary Society

churchThe Fannie Jackson Coppin Women’s Missionary Society (FJCWMS)

Called to strengthen faith, FJCWMS continues the ministry of Jesus Christ by service and witness in the world. The FJCWMS is designed to lead men, women, boys and girls to Christ and continues to practice the following doctrines and precepts of Christ:

• serve others

• minister to the needs of the sick, poor, the hungry, the homeless

• support the sick and the shut-in

The missionary’s service has been both global and local. As an organization, it serves and meet the needs of peoples on the four continents, which the A.M.E. Church has been established.

The FJCWMS supports area, district, and connectional projects as well as initiates local programs and ministries. Some activities include clothing donations, the providing school supplies and household goods. In addition to engaging in similar activities at the local level, FJCWMS missionaries have disseminated food, tutored youth, ministered to the elderly, expressed concern and cheer for our sick and shut-in, given monetary support for our high school seniors, conducted monthly devotional services at Whitehall Health Center and supported our YPD. We collaborate and cooperate with other like-minded organizations and ministries, such as Church Women United and Bethel’s women’s ministry.
